The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department is one of the busiest units of RGDH. The department is headed by renowned gynaecologist Brig. Dr. Nadra Sultana (R). The department is further distributed into two unit headed by a complete hierarchy i.e. Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Registrar and Medical Officers. There are subject specific specialists of gynaecological and obstetrical issues. The department has all the basic and advanced level facilities; both technical and equipment vise. Since the obstectic and gynaecology department is a hectic unit there is an outpatient flow of around 50-70 cases daily and approximately 300 deliveries and other complicated procedures are undertaken in a month. Special antenatal clinics ae run to book and monitor pregnant women. The department is open round the clock to deal any obstetric emergency.
